Mana Is Honored With Lifetime Achievement Award

Present in the “Rock Star Q&A” during the Latin Billboard Conference

Miami, FL (April 27th, 2018). – The most successful Latin rock band of all time, Maná, had an incredible week during their time at the 2018 Latin Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada. During the 20th annual awards ceremony, Billboard honored Mana's successful musical career, awarding them with the Billboard Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is extremely important because it is given to artists who have taken Latin music to another level worldwide, which continues to be relevant for their artistic and personal contributions and whose influences have marked the development of Latin music in the world; definitely all the characteristics that define Maná who have achieved that and more throughout their career:

· 17 albums and 47 songs # 1 worldwide
· The Latin rock band with the most # 1 on the Billboard charts
· Winners of 24 Billboard Awards
· More than 45 million albums sold
· Awarded 127 gold and 255 platinum albums
· With their last tour "Cama Incendiada Tour" and "Latino Power Tour", they toured several countries during 2015 and 2016 being their highest-grossing tour, seen by millions of fans and achieving sold out locations in various cities in Latin America, USA and Spain

It was one of the most emotional moments of the night since it was Carlos Santana who gave them the prestigious award. Upon receiving the award, Fher, the leader of the band, said:“Thank you so much to all our fans who have been our accomplices during so many years, we love you.”

Later during the night, Maná took the stage and performed two of their greatest hits: "En El Muelle de San Blas" and "Corazon Espinado".

During the week, Fher Olvera and Alex Gonzalez, were present during the exclusive "Rock Star Q&A" panel at the 2018 Latin Billboard Conferences. There, they talked with Leila Cobo, the executive director of Latin content and programming for Billboard, about their social and philanthropic causes, and the use of their voice to raise awareness, educate and inform others about taking care of the environment through their foundation “Selva Negra” which was created in 1995.

The band is currently working on new music in the studio and this summer thousands of fans will have the opportunity to see Maná on their festival tour through Spain and other Latin American markets.
